Install
Get LiveVault running in under a minute
LiveVault isn’t on the Chrome Web Store yet — store review takes time, and this page shouldn’t wait on it. What’s below is the exact same code, loaded directly instead of installed from a store listing.
Four steps
Load it into Chrome
Download and unzip
Get livevault-extension.zip below, then extract it — you'll get a folder, not a single file.
Open chrome://extensions
Paste that into your address bar, or Menu → Extensions → Manage Extensions.
Turn on Developer mode
The toggle is in the top-right corner of that page.
Click "Load unpacked"
Select the unzipped folder (the one containing manifest.json). LiveVault appears in your toolbar.
What to expect
A couple of honest notes
Chrome shows a “Developer mode extensions” banner for anything loaded this way, not just LiveVault. It’s expected, and it goes away once this ships to the Web Store.
Because it’s loaded from a folder rather than the Web Store, it won’t auto-update. Re-download and reload it here whenever a new version ships — check the changelog for what’s new.
Nothing about the extension itself changes based on how it was installed — no account, no server, same permissions, same data model. See what it stores and why it asks for what it asks for.
