Who builds LiveVault

LiveVault is an independent software company based in Kolkata, India, building tools that keep people’s data under their own control. It has shipped two products and has been operating since July 2026.

Everything on this page is a plain statement of fact that someone outside the company could verify — the store listing, the repository, the published prices. There is no version of these details held back for a different audience.

Position

Stage, funding and how this is meant to make money

Stated directly, because a company that will not say where its money comes from is asking for a kind of trust it has not earned.

Stage
Pre-seed. Founder-led and bootstrapped, with no outside investment and no accelerator or incubator backing.
Team size
One. Every layer — the browser extension, this site, the API, the database schema, object storage and the deployment pipeline — is written and operated by the founder.
Commercial model
A free tier that stays free, with Pro and Team tiers planned at ₹999 and ₹2,999 per month. Every tier is ₹0 under an introductory offer running to 2027, so no revenue has been taken yet and there is no billing integration in the product today. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.
Jurisdiction
Operated from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Indian law governs the terms of service.

Track record

What is actually in production

Two products, both live, both reachable by anyone reading this page.

LiveVault Capture
A Chrome extension that saves pages, selections, links, images, screenshots and notes to a vault held in the browser’s own storage — searchable, organised into collections and tags, and exportable as a single JSON backup. Publicly installable from the Chrome Web Store.
Secure expiring links
An earlier product, still running and still supported: tokenised links for sensitive media with view limits, hard deadlines, a session-gated viewer and an audit trail. Server-backed, with the API, database and private object storage all in production.
