Why LiveVault exists
You close a tab and the thing you meant to come back to is gone — buried under the next forty tabs, or just gone. LiveVault is a browser extension built around the opposite default: save it the moment it matters, straight into your own browser, searchable later. No account, no server.
It shares this site and this codebase with an earlier, different product — expiring, tokenized links for sensitive media — which still runs and is described honestly further down this page rather than quietly dropped.

One person writes and operates every layer of this. That is worth stating plainly rather than obscuring behind a plural — it is the reason the roadmap is short, and the reason an email about a bug reaches the person who can fix it.

The web doesn't wait for you to save something. You close six tabs and can't find the one that mattered, or you see a price, a notice, a broken UI worth a screenshot, and by the time you go looking for it again it's gone. LiveVault is a browser extension that saves it the moment you decide it matters, straight into your own browser, searchable later — no account, no server. It's built by the same person and the same codebase as LiveVault's earlier product, a tool for sending sensitive media that expires on your terms, which still exists and still works. This is a second, different thing built alongside it.
Everything on this site is something you can go and verify. The extension is a real download, not a mockup; the changelog lists dated changes with the problems that prompted them; and where something is unfinished, the page says so instead of implying otherwise.

Where things actually stand

- What exists today
- A browser extension, LiveVault Capture, that saves pages, selections, links, images, screenshots, and notes to this browser's own local storage — searchable, organized into collections and tags, exportable as a backup. Also, still running from an earlier build: a secure expiring-link tool with admin accounts, tokenized links, a session-based viewer, and an audit trail.
- Where it runs
- The extension runs entirely inside your browser — no server, nothing uploaded. The earlier secure-link tool is server-backed: API on Render, database on MongoDB Atlas, media in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket, this site on Netlify.
- Availability
- Publicly available. The Chrome Web Store listing was approved on 11 September 2026, so the extension installs in one click from the store like any other — it is not a private beta, a waitlist, or a zip file passed around.
- Team
- One founder, writing and shipping every layer — extension, site, API, database, storage, and the deployment pipeline all of it runs on.
- Funding
- Bootstrapped. Pre-seed, with no outside investment and no accelerator or incubator backing.
- Commercial model
- Published at /pricing: a free tier that stays free, with Pro and Team planned at ₹999 and ₹2,999 a month. Every tier is ₹0 under an introductory offer running to 2027, so no revenue has been taken yet and there is no billing integration in the product today.
