About

Why LiveVault exists

Sending a file is irreversible. Email it, DM it, drop it in a shared folder, and from that moment you have no idea how many copies exist or who has them. LiveVault is an attempt at the opposite default: media that arrives with an expiry condition attached and removes itself when that condition is met.

It is deliberately not a storage product. There is no permanent link and no shared folder, because the value is in the disappearing.

Solo-built, pre-launch, and unfunded. No team, no investors, no revenue.

Sending a file is a one-way door. The moment it leaves your hands you have no idea how many copies exist, who holds them, or how long they stay around. Every tool I reached for treated that as normal — upload, share, forget. LiveVault is the opposite default: media that arrives with an expiry condition attached and removes itself once that condition is met.

Everything on this site is something you can go and verify. The demo runs against the real API, the changelog lists dated changes with the problems that prompted them, and where something is unfinished the page says so instead of implying otherwise.

LiveVaultSecure. Tokenized. Temporary

Company facts

Where things actually stand

Everything below is verifiable by using the product or reading the changelog.

What exists today
A working API and web app: admin accounts with approval gating, media upload to private object storage, tokenized links with view limits and hard deadlines, a session-based viewer, a public demo, and an audit trail.
Where it runs
API on Render, database on MongoDB Atlas, media in a private Cloudflare R2 bucket, frontend on Vercel.
Team
One person. There is no team page because there is no team.
Funding
None. Bootstrapped, with no outside investment.
Revenue
None. Nothing is being charged for and there is no billing integration in the product.

See it working

The fastest way to judge whether this is real is to use it. The demo needs no account and takes about thirty seconds.

See what shipped

The changelog lists each dated change since the rebuild, including the problems in the previous version that prompted it.
